Renita joined Terra Law as an associate in 2017 and became a director of the firm in January 2020. Her practice involves all aspects of commercial real estate, transactions, financings, and development. She has extensive experience advising owners, lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers on matters related to acquisitions, dispositions, financings, structuring, the sale of development and investment properties and the Real Estate Development and Marketing Act (including disclosure statements). Renita’s practice has an emphasis on real-estate based financings and she has acted as counsel for lender and borrower clients on many lending transactions, including complex syndicated loans, construction financings, mezzanine loans, asset-based loans and refinancings. She also has particular experience representing owners and operators in connection with acquiring, financing and selling hotel and resort properties and negotiating management and franchise agreements.
Renita has been recognized by Best Lawyers as a leading lawyer in the practice areas of Banking and Finance Law and Real Estate Law.
Prior to joining Terra Law, Renita practiced with the Financial Services Group of a leading national firm and with a well-established regional firm.
