Terra Law Corporation (Terra Law) is a Vancouver-based boutique commercial real estate law firm whose lawyers have been involved in countless purchase, sale and financing transactions involving all commercial real estate asset classes, commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects, leasing, joint venture/partnership structuring, hotel and resort projects, and clean energy and infrastructure projects.
Terra Law was founded by Russell Benson, Beverly Ellingson, Glenn Leung and Elizabeth Yip, four long-time colleagues who decided to leave equity partnership at McCarthy Tétrault LLP to start a commercial real estate boutique in July, 2013, the first of its kind in British Columbia. With over 120 years of combined legal experience, Benson, Ellingson, Leung, and Yip already had a well-established track record of success in advising local, regional, national and international commercial real estate clients, including public and private companies, REITs, private equity firms, governments and financial institutions. Since its formation, Terra Law has grown to 18 lawyers, nine paralegals and over 45 employees in total, all dedicated to providing responsive, creative and practical advice in the commercial real estate area.
